Salvation Explained

The Bible teaches that through belief in Jesus Christ, we can be saved from the consequences of sin and have eternal life with God.

All human beings are have fallen short of God's standards. Romans 3:23 says, ”For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”  That means that we all have done wrong, and are unable to earn our way to heaven through good deeds or moral behavior.

But God loves us so much that He sent Jesus Christ to pay the price for our sins on the cross. In fact, Romans 5:8 states, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Through faith in Jesus, and what He did, we can be forgiven of our sins and made right with God. We can have the assurance of eternal life and a relationship with God that begins right now.

Now, accepting salvation is not just a matter of knowing what Jesus did, and going to church from time to time. It's a personal commitment to trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  We are to become his disciples.

Romans 10:9 says, “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;”

If you haven't yet decided to follow Jesus, we encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and then grow in your relationship with God by praying, learning the Word of God, and being and active part of a church.
